Western Electric Grids – the branch of JSC “MOESK” continues preparation of energy equipment for the 2011-2012 autumn and winter maximum of loads.
The branch has performed the major overhaul of 89.6 km of lines, replaced 837 insulators, 1.4 km of lightning rods and 20 supports for the first three months of the current year during implementation of the repairs campaign in the high-voltage grids. The distribution grids (0.4; 6-10 kV) of the enterprise have gone through the major overhaul of 70.3 km of lines, replacement of 53.9 km of wire and 260 supports. 70.5 hectares of routes for power lines of various voltage classes have been cleared for the first quarter. The substations have gone through repairs of 7 power transformers, 36 breakers. The distribution centers saw repairs of 32 facilities.
Implementation of the actions on preparation for winter will provide an opportunity of functioning of the grids in conditions of sharp increase in winter power consumption. Successfully implemented target of preparation covers the whole complex of preventive works of maintenance and repairs of the equipment at substations, transformer substations and distribution centers, cable and overhead power lines.
New highly technological equipment, materials and accessories are used in the process of repairs, which guarantees reliable supply of electricity of high quality to the consumers of the Odintsovsky, Naro-Fominsky, Istrinsky, Ruzsky, Mazhaisky, Volokolamsky, Lotoshinsky and Shahovskoy District.
