The effect of energy efficiency program implementation by MOESK will be amount to 300 mln rubles in 2015

JSC “MOESK” (part of Russian Grids companies group) is pursuing its Program of energy efficiency and increase of energy efficiency, planned to 2015-2020.

As a result of 2014 activity total effect of energy efficiency program and overall Company energy efficiency increase amounts to 471.4 million kWh (including cut of losses - 420.8 million kWh), and the planned figure is 467.8 million kWh (including cut of losses - 416.85 million kWh). The plan is completed for 100.8% (for losses cut - 101.0%) The effect of this Program implementation in terms of value is 1,204.1 million rubles. During this year company expects to get up to 300 million rubles due to target action within the Program only.

Among Program priorities - actions to cut power losses. Organizational (low cost) actions comprise: detection of off the meter power consumption, optimization of power loops junction points, disconnection of power grids and transformers in low load conditions, disconnection of transformers at season oriented substations. Process involved actions of the Program include: incorporation of automation devices in heating and lighting systems of substation premises, installation of energy efficient lamp, heat pumps.

Besides MOESK is still implementing other programs with concurrent energy efficiency effect ensuring cut of power losses. First of all this is a reliability increase program and future power metering system development program. The scope of these programs include replacement of overloaded and worn out 35-220 kV transformers, increase of 35-220 kV power transmission line throughput, and installation of power metering devices.

In order to cut housekeeping needs related power JSC “MOESK” is implementing Power efficient office project providing heliocollecting systems for heat water supply and heating of JSC “MOESK” administrative buildings. Water and motor fuel consumption reduction actions are undergo.
