On June 4, 2018 Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin opened a digital substation (DS) 110 kV "Medvedevskaya", the first in the Moscow region, PJSC "Moscow United Electric Grid Company" (MOESK, part of the GC "Rosseti").
Sergei Sobyanin, accompanied by Pavel Livinsky, General Director of PJSC Rosseti, and Pyotr Sinyutin, General Director of PJSC "MOESK", commissioned the most modern feeding center in the metropolitan region.
Substation "Medvedevskaya" with a capacity of 160 MVA is intended for power supply of facilities located on the territory of the innovation center (IC) "Skolkovo". Commissioning of the newest feeding center will allow to complete the power supply not only to Skolkovo, issuing the IC of 60 MW of capacity, but also to provide a reserve for the electric power supply of nearby development facilities.
"The Government of Moscow and PJSC "MOESK" consistently create the infrastructure of the "Skolkovo" innovation center. Today we have completed one more important project – the construction of a high-voltage substation. The new substation will provide a decent power reserve, consumers in "Skolkovo" will not have problems with connecting to the network or increasing the power consumption. The facility is unique, it is the first digital substation in Moscow. In addition, it is the first substation in recent decades that is fully set up with Russian-made equipment", said Sergei Sobyanin.
The first digital substation in the metropolitan region allows you to manage the feeding center in a digital code without the presence of personnel. Thanks to the use of the latest digital technologies, the possibility of online monitoring of electrical equipment has appeared. This means that there is no need for material and labour costs for preventive maintenance. All probable malfunctions will be eliminated upon their occurrence.
Measurement of electrical and technological parameters of the primary equipment, control of its condition and control is carried out using digital technologies in accordance with the international standard IEC 61850. Thanks to the use of digital technologies, the reliability of the substation operation is significantly increased, the total costs for operating the facility are reduced.
"Today, another important step has been made on the way of digitalization of the country's power grid to improve its reliability and efficiency. The "Rosseti" group needs the support of the regional authorities in the implementation of this project and it is very pleasant that we find it at the highest level in the capital", said Pavel Livinsky to the audience.
During the construction of "Medvedevskaya" innovative electrical equipment of Russian production was used. The substation is equipped with two power transformers of 80 MVA each manufactured by OJSC "Togliatinskiy transformator"; the first in Russia domestic complete switchgear with SF6 insulation (GIS) 110 kV produced by JSC RA "Electroapparat"; 4-section switchgear 20 kV with vacuum circuit breakers, designed for 20 linear cells manufactured by JSC "Samarskiy transformator"; relay protection and automation complex (RPA) and automated process automation system (PAS) is executed on microprocessor terminals of LLC NPP "EKRA".
"All the latest digital solutions at the "Medvedevskaya" substation have been developed and implemented in accordance with the requirements for the implementation of the strategy for building a digital network on the territory of Russia, implemented by PJSC "Rossetti"", said Pyotr Sinyutin, General Director of PJSC "MOESK". - Substation "Medvedevskaya" has become an important step towards the creation of a digital network in the Moscow region for us".
The architectural and design solution of the "Medvedevskaya" substation has been specially designed to ensure that the most modern for the technical solutions in the metropolitan area feeding center is organically blended into the modern landscape of the innovation complex "Skolkovo".
Substation "Medvedevskaya" was erected in record time: the construction work was completed in 18 months at standard indicators for power facilities of this level and class amounting for 27 months.
