The International Occupational Safety Day is held on 28 April annually since 2001 under the decision of the International Labor Organization (ILO). The initiative of ILO is the result of the aspiration to draw attention to the necessity of prevention of industrial traumas and professional diseases. In 2011, the International Occupational Safety Day will be held under the motto “Occupational Safety Management System: Way to Continuous Improvement”.

Traditionally JSC “MOESK” holds the actions devoted to occupational safety. The Company will hold “Hour of Occupational Safety” from 20 April through 28 April in honor of the anniversary of the International Occupational Safety Day. Its program will include monitoring of the condition of occupational safety at workplaces, studying of the Instruction on Occupational Safety for Employees when Going on Business Trip and Back, methods of first-aid treatment of a victim in the event of industrial accident.

Besides, MOESK will hold the action “Week of Occupational Safety”, which will incorporate conferences, seminars, meetings, assemblies, exhibitions and competitions devoted to creation of safe and healthy working conditions. Extraordinary checks of observance of norms and rules of occupational safety at workplaces are planned to be held as well.
