Achievements of science and industry to ensure reliable transmission of electricity to consumers

The presentation of cable armature made by the company G&W took place in High-Voltage Cable Grids (HVCG) – the branch of JSC “MOESK”.

The meeting hosted the heads and specialists of HVCG and representatives of Russian companies LLC “Rospol-Electro” – the official representative of G&W, LLC “INVENT”, LLC “Tatcable”, LLC “Technoservice-M”.

The attendees saw conductor joints and accessories made of modern materials allowing to reduce the time of installation works, provide reliability of electricity transmission through cable lines.

The conductor joints of 110 kV - 220 kV made by G&W Electric Company for cable lines with the cross-linked polyethylene insulation for the voltage of 110 kV and 220 kV possess certain competitive advantages in comparison with the products made by other manufacturers.

Eduard Podadaev, Deputy General Director - Director of the branch HVCG said, “In order to ensure reliable supply of electricity, the specialists of High-Voltage Cable Grids (HVCG) hold the estimation of the newest technical and design proposals on application of new types of cables and cable armature; the experience of the best manufacturers of cable products is considered and adopted. The progressive type of cable made of cross-linked polythene, which is applied in the process of laying and reconstruction of cable lines in the responsibility zone of HVCG, demands the high-quality armature, which meets the requirements of reliability and uninterrupted electricity supply.”

Definition of the most progressive technical solutions and parameters of the technological level of the equipment, which should be applied in the investment programs of JSC “MOESK”, is one of the priority lines of the company technical policy.
