Branch of JSC “MOESK” – Eastern Electric Grids lays self-supporting insulated wires in hinterlands of Moscow Region

Beginning of calendar summer in Negomozh village of Kolomna district was marked with important event: branch of JSC “MOESK” – Eastern Electric Grids (EEG) completed reconstruction of overhead electric power transmission line 0.4 kV. And now along all streets of inhabited settlement new reinforced concrete supports, on which self-supporting insulated wire (SIW) is installed, appeared. 

 
Negomozh is one of many furthest inhabited settlements of Moscow Region with partial gasification, where a lot of problems occurred, connected with quality of electric power supply. Complains of inhabitants were quite reasonable, because capacity of existent substation could not satisfy grown demands of village. 

 
In frames of Investment Program of 2010 design work and works on reconstruction of line were carried out by contractor “FABI”, LLC – partner of MOESK’s branch. Technical supervision and acceptance of performed works were carried out by specialists of Eastern Electric Grids.

Reconstruction of old line with length of 1.8 km with full replacement of obsolete wires to SIW-2 is carried out, new transformer substation 160 kVA is constructed with approach of 10 kV with length of 0.7 km with use of SIW-3, from which new line 0.4 kV with length of 2.9 km is laid, also with use of SIW-2. 

 
Putting into operation of reconstructed line will allow power engineers of Kolomna District of Electric Grids, which responsibility area includes Negomozh, to increase significantly reliability of electric power supply both socially important facilities and household sector.

According to Chief Engineer of Kolomna District of Electric Grids Oleg Kozlov, reconstruction experience of overhead electric power transmission line 0.4 kV in rural inhabited settlements of district shows that use of SIW eliminates problems of emergency outages, reduces significantly time outlays for repair and maintenance. There are such villages in Kolomna district, where from the moment of installation of SIW more than a year has passed, and during this time there were no emergency calls.

In nearest plans, shaped in frames of Investment Program of Eastern Electric Grids, is reconstruction of lines in large number of rural inhabited settlements. And this means, that problems with quality of electric power supply can be served by another part of inhabitants of east of Moscow Region.
