Moscow United Electric Grid Company Renders Beneficent Aid to “House of Cinema Veterans”

Within the framework of the beneficent program of 2012 year, JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” rendered the aid to Noncommercial Institution “House of cinema veterans”. A complex of the professional kitchen appliances was acquired at the Company’s expense.

- This year our House of the veterans celebrated its 35th anniversary. We are glad to the fact, that we will be able to renew the extremely worn out equipment of our canteen. It’s a huge and timely support for us. The entire collective body expresses a gratitude to the Company for the aid rendered, - specified Director General Victor Kapyrin. – We carry out our own our economic activities. We bear a huge responsibility for residence and maintenance of the elderly veterans, residing in our House. Many members of the Union of cinematographers stay at our place for a short-term rest.

The House of the Cinema Veterans was founded in 1975 year by a Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, the Executive Committee of Moscow Soviet, the USSR Union of cinematographers. The idea of establishment of the House of the Cinema Veterans came to fruition long ago, since a need in it had been big. Famous Soviet actor Nicolay Cherkasov found a nice place far from urban noise. They liked the offer of Cherkasov and received a boost by his creative companions – Lubov’ Orlova and Grigory Alexandrov. Lev Kulidzhanov, Sergey Komarov, Grigory Mar’yamov were involved in the offer implementation as to the foundation of the House of the Cinema Veterans and made it hard and insistently.

Cinema veterans were attracted by an opportunity to combine a proper rest, liberation from everyday concerns and the atmosphere of quiet creative work. Year in year out, the House of the veterans obtains new cinematographers. Some of them came for the residence, others – for a while, in order to have a full-scale rest or to work. Scriptwriters, stage managers, painters, music makers found here favorable conditions for oeuvre.

JSC “MOESK” – is a socially responsible company. Via the Charity fund of the maintenance of health, education, culture and sports, the Power engineers of branch Central Electric grids rendered a material aid in 2012 year to a series of the social institutions of Moscow region – Sergievo-Posadsky orphan asylum for the blind and deaf, to Moscow correction orphan asylum #9 and to NI “House of the cinema veterans”.
