MOESK Enhances Staff Skills in Working with Electric Vehicle Infrastructure

JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” (MOESK) continues implementation of the project for development of electric vehicles. The branch of the company - Moscow Cable Grids (MCG) on September 30 and October 1 held the first practical workshop “Maintenance of charging stations of the network MOESK -EV and electric vehicles Smith Electric”.

The purpose of the workshop is to increase the production culture and reliability of transport operated on the eve of the autumn and winter period. The main task is to introduce new technologies in the field of autonomous electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, as well as the possibilities of their practical application for the MCG personnel.

The classes were held by experienced specialists. Theoretical knowledge of employees of Moscow Cable Grids was supported by practical training at charging stations and electric vehicles. It should be noted that the MOESK staff (which exceeds 20 participants) showed great interest and asked speakers a lot of questions on the construction, maintenance and repair of equipment.

This year, expansion of the corporate stock of electric vehicles of JSC “MOESK” and the branch Moscow Cable Grids continues for the needs of the operational and emergency mobile teams. In particular, the first electric measurement laboratory based on the electric car Smith Electric Edison Panel Van was put into operation.

Let us remind that the energy company, besides creation and pilot operation of the corporate stock, and building of a network of electric charging stations within the framework of the pilot project MOESK -EV (October 2011 - February 2013), this year joined to the issue of development of public electric vehicles - electric buses. R&D program of JSC “MOESK” in 2013 provides for the development of a pilot prototype of a charging station for their ultra-fast charging. If necessary, MOESK experts will be engaged in logistics of placement of charging stations and the issue of building respective infrastructure.
