During the next stage of the reconstruction of the "Ucha" 220/110/6 kV substation, the specialists of the northern branch of MOESK engaged the automatic transformer AT- 1 250 MVA. The next step is engagement of AT-2 transformer of the same capacity.
At the early stages of reconstruction of the substation, which started in 2007, the open switchgears (OS) of 110 and 220 kV went through replacement of obsolete low-oil switching equipment by modern gas insulated switches, construction of the common substation control panel with modern batteries and new DC shields. The latest control systems and protections are applied, based on microprocessor technology, ensuring a high level of process and operational maintenance of the feeding center. In 2013, new power transformers T-1 and T-2 of 40 MVA each were put into operation as well.
Total investments into the reconstruction of the substation "Ucha" are RUR 2.2 bn, of which about RUR 170 mn have been invested this year. According to the director of the branch Northern Electric Grids Alexey Irzhak, renovation of the power equipment of the feeding center will significantly increase capacity output from the CHP- 27 to the 110 kV grid all over the north of the Moscow Area, expand opportunities for grid connection of MOESK new consumers.
The substation "Ucha" was built in 1972. This is a system substation, supporting the 110 kV grid of the Mytischi and Pushkin Districts in the Moscow Area. The 6 kV grid ensures electricity supplies to more than 350 thousand inhabitants, as well as the extensive infrastructure of the recreation areas, north of the water supply plant of JSC “Vodokanal”.
Together with the "HPP- 27 - Ucha" 220 kV line, which was built in 2009, it ensures output of capacity from the steam and gas block of the electric plant with the capacity of 450 MW.
