PJSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” (belonging to “Rosseti” Company Group) is working at the reduction of the power transmission losses. According to the results for the first half-year of 2015 the power transmission losses of “MOESK” grids makes up 7.93 % from supply to grid (3,497.3 mln kW*h). As compared to similar period of the previous year, the percentage of losses of supply to grid has decreased by 0.31 percentage point or 129.9 mln kW in physical terms.

Such decrease of losses in “MOESK” grids can be observed within its corporate presence. The electric power losses observed in Moscow for the first six month of the current year has reached 7.35 % from supply to grid (1,673 mln kW*h), which is by 0.45 % (115.8 mln kW*h) lower than the similar indicators for the previous year. The Moscow Region losses have decreased by 0.18 % (14.1 mln kW*h) and make up 8.55 % from supply to grid (1,823.7 kW*h).

Such decrease of losses has been reached as a result of a set of measures taken to decrease the losses under the Program of energy saving and energy efficiency enhancement of PJSC “MOESK”. The program being implemented involves certain organizational and technical activities, including, but not limited to identification of the electric power consumed without metering, development of the power metering and control facilities, replacement of overloaded and worn out 35-220 kV transformers, increase of the transmission capacity of 35-220 kV power transmission lines and others.
