The 220 kV Tyutchevo substation is going to solve the problem of increasing the reliability of power supply to 40 settlements of the Pushkin city district (with population of approximately 180,000 people), which is part of the outer belt of Moscow suburban zone. In addition, conditions will be created for connecting new consumers, which plays an important role in increasing the investment attractiveness of the territory.

The work is performed by Rosseti Moscow Region.

The capacity of the power facility will amount to 300 MVA. It will be equipped with modern power equipment (two autotransformers of 125 MVA and two transformers of 25 MVA), as well as gas-insulated switchgears (GIS) of 220 kV and 110 kV. This is the most environmentally friendly and safe solution, which has proven its worth in projects related to the power supply of developing cities. Also, power engineers are going to build a 4-section 10 kV switchgear for 14 linear cells to connect existing and potential consumers.

For the first time in Russia, the 220 kV switchgear will be externally mounted instead of being installed indoors. Given the facility features (construction on a new site, no residential buildings in the immediate vicinity), this will ensure a decline in costs while preserving all the benefits the GISs provide.

The planned architectural illumination of buildings and facilities will provide the necessary level of security at night and highlight the details of the project.

To connect the new substation to the grid, 220 kV cable lines "Tyutchevo - Ucha" and "Tyutchevo - Novosofrino" and a 110 kV double-chain cable-overhead line "Tyutchevo - Pushkino" are planned to be built, with a total length of more than 38 km. In order to connect the overhead and cable sections, the construction of transition points at a voltage of 110 kV is planned, using multi-faceted poles to reduce space requirement.

The completion deadline is expected in 2022.
