Within the framework of realization of the Program in the sphere of power supply and productivity increase in the territory of Moscow over 2011-2015 Moscow United Electric Grid Company plans to carry out the set of activities resulting in economy effect of RUR 5,1 billion. Deputy General Director – JSC “MOESK” Technical Director, Anatoliy Chegodayev told about this during the press conference called “Power Supply in the capital: strategies, approaches and mechanisms”, dedicated to the issues of the federal law realization on “Power economy and power productivity increase”.

Within the framework of the program the Company, in particular, suggests to achieve the considerable decrease of power losses during its transmission to distribution grids, coming to 9,2 % level of the grid release amount in 2015, against 11,2 % in 2009. According to Company’s experts’ assessments losses decrease will account for almost 4 billion kWh.

Achievement of target indices of the Program is also planned due to the realization of the following activities:
– substitution of the overloaded and worn out transformers of 6-220 kV,
– increase of the release ability of power transmission lines of 35-220 kV,
– development of 20 kV distribution electric grid which will allow to decrease the losses by 141 632 thousand kWh over the period of 2011-2015.
–development of own system of the commercial account at the retail market, including the equipping of Moscow apartment blocks with the “intellectual” measuring devices;
– transition to use of the power efficient and light-emitting-diode lamps.

During the realization of the Program, explained Deputy General Director – JSC “MOESK” Technical Director, Anatoliy Chegodayev, it is suggested to actively use the innovation technologies. Including the use of conductors based on composite materials, use of the extra conducting power technical devises on the basis of the hydrogen technologies – systems of hydrogen power accumulation, and use of the devises based on the flexible alternating current transmission systems – FACTS.
