As at 08:00 of 2 January 2011, the problems with electric power supply were experienced by the inhabitants of 34 settlements in 6 districts of the Moscow Area with the population of 3,286 people.
As a whole, the number of the de-energized transformer substations (TS) in the Moscow Area is 551, including 347 subscribers’ ones, i.e. those, which do not belong to JSC “MOESK”, including 11 TS (10 subscribers’ ones) in the south of the Moscow Area, 70 (32) in the east, 470 (305) in the west.
Ninety-seven emergency elimination brigades represented by 319 people in total worked at power lines during the last night. More than 2,000 power specialists proceeded with the work in the morning.
