JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” (MOESK) fed all transformer substations (TS) in the Moscow Region in its attendance zone by the evening of 6 January. Upon energizing all TS, the specialists of JSC “MOESK” and their colleagues, who came to their rescue from other regions of Russia, continued recovery works in order to increase reliability of electric power supply of the Moscow Area. Increase in reliability of electric power supply consists in commissioning of the power lines providing reservation of the feeding centers.

The overhead line (OL) of 110 kV “Klasson – Vodovod”, OL 35 kV Klasson - B.Dvor” with a branch line, OL 110 kV “Klasson – Demikhovo” in the responsibility zone of Eastern Electric Grids were put into operation from 9 p.m to 11 p.m. during the evening of 6 January.

Unfortunately, trees are still falling upon power lines. For example, OL 35 kV “Krylovo – Zvenigorod” (Western Electric Grids) was de-energized at 10:00 p.m. of 6 January as a result of a fallen tree. The line was restored and put into operation at 2:23 a.m. as a result of the prompt actions of power specialists of JSC “MOESK”.

As from the morning of 7 January, 254 brigades of power specialists represented by 1,372 people got down to work. The number of the brigades will increase to 344 (1,720 people).
