Power engineers of “Moscow United Electric Grid Company”, colleagues from IDGC Holding, OSJC and contractors continue to restore reliable power supply of Moscow region which has been disturbed because of abnormal weather conditions.

Thus, on January 11, 2011 power engineering teams removed 1945 fallen trees from the low voltage lines 0,4-10 kV, replaced 73 towers, restored 15,81 km of the wire. During the daylight hours 164 emergency response and repair teams consisting of 703 people and 86 units of special vehicles conducted the works. On the night from the 11th to the 12th of January 302 people within 77 brigades and 52 units of special purpose vehicles have continued the work.

As of 8:00 hours of January 12, 2011, 394 transformer substations have been de-energized. In order to restore reliable power supply. The planned repair works related to elimination of technological disturbance consequences in the 6-10 kV distribution grid will be performed in 13 administrative districts of Moscow region. Performance of the planned repair actions will require a shutdown of electricity consumers in several settlements, specifically:

- in the south of Moscow area – in Podolsk district (villages of Golokhvastovo, Isakovo, Nikol’skoye, Terekhovo, Deshino, N.-Mikhailovskoye, Milk-trade farm Nikol’skoye, complex Terekhovo, villages of Klenovo, Pochinki, Meshkovo, Mavrino, Chernetskoye, villages of Chirikovo, Davydovo, Dubovka, Akulovo, Tovarishchevo, refuse dump Malinki, villages of Aleksandrovka, Slashchevo, Novgorodovo, Novoselki), in Ramensk district (town of Bronnitsy, villages of Mar’inka, Biserovo, Slobodino, Grogorovo, Korobovo, Zavorovo, Nikul’ino, Timonino), in Domodedovo district (big village of Domodedovo, villages of Pavlovskoye, Zabor’ye, Nikitskoye, Avdot’ino, Yusupovo, Ushmary, settlement Barybino, villages of Provody, Pavlovskoye, Pestrovo);

- in the north of the region – in Puskin district (villages of Papertniki, Gorenki, Lugovaya, Gerasimikha, Volod’kino, Mart’yankovo, Zhukovka, Dobroye, Staroye Selo);

- in the west – in Odintsovo district (villages of Pronskoye, Sharapovo, Klin, Yastrebki, Mart’yanovo, Spaskoye, Andreevskoye, Iglovo, Ivan’evo, Dyaden’kovo, Sergievo, Ivano-Konstantinovka, Gorbunovo, Pokrovskoye, Andriankovo, Brekhovo, Gigirevo, Anikovo, settlement MEP Kubinka), in Istra district (village of Antonovka, settlement Rumyantsevo (Savel’evskoye Shosse), settlement Rumyantsevo (street Novaya), villages of Gorki, Savel’evo);

- in the east of Moscow area – in Orekhovo-Zuevo district (station Pokrov), in Pavlovo-Posadsky district (village of Borisovo), in Noginsk district (villages of Stulovo, Dedovo), in Egor’evsky district (village of Firstovo).

The planned works will be conducted in Lenin, Shchelkovo and Shatura districts of the region as well.

Outages are scheduled to take place from 8 till 18 hours.
