An emergency and restoration mobile reserve will be established at JSC “MOESK”

A meeting of the emergency response team was held at “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” where the issues related to an emergency and restoration mobile reserve establishment were considered. The events which occurred at the end of last year and early in the current year proved the need to form such division. The Company’s management must have a mobile grouping of forces and means at its disposal, which would be able on a timely basis to commence operations on elimination of technological disturbances and those caused by abnormal weather conditions as well.

Such special machinery is proposed to be involved in the mobile reserve structure as truck lifts mounted on all-wheel drive or tracked chassis (the lift height not less than 28 m) with manipulators for vegetation cutting; multipurpose track machines; automatic cranes and manipulators providing the towers installation and mounted on all-wheel drive chassis; cross-country vehicles for transportation of repair crews and equipment (all-wheel drive and tracked); harvesters – multi-purpose machinery used for timber felling, branch cutting and shortening. It must be noted that just such machinery has shown the best results during the recent operations on power supply restoration in conditions of wooded and marshy land of the Moscow area. The reserve brigades will be manned by the Company’s experts.
