In 2010 – Western electric grids – branch of JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” directed RUR 1 bln. 919 mln. for the construction,  reconstruction and re-equipment of the electric grid sector’s facilities.

Among the priority projects of the investment program in the branch one can specify the change of transformers by more powerful ones at feeding centers “Dar’ino”, “Karinskaya”, “Usovo”, “Dedovo”. In terms of modernization the power engineers made reconstruction and re-equipment of over 370 km of power transmission lines, the capacities introduction has amounted to 327,6 MVA.

By the words of Vitaly Kuchurts, Deputy Director on capital construction of Western electric grids: “All the obligations assumed on the electric grid complex development in the West of Moscow region are fulfilled by the branch in time. The volumes of the investment program implementation in 2010 are fulfilled fully by Western electric grids”.

The investment program implementation of the branch is aimed at re-equipping and reconstructing of the existing grids, a reserve establishing of transmission capacity of electric grids, feeding centers constructing with the help of new technologies and materials. All these measures promote to efficiency increase of the equipment operation, maintenance of continuous electric power supply of consumers, create a possibility of additional technological connection of new electric power consumers to the grids of JSC “MOESK”.

Western electric grids – branch of JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” services over 100 ths. conventional units of energy equipment in the territory of 8 municipal districts of Moscow region, with the total area of over 10 ths. sq.km. The following districts of Moscow region constitute the branch’s responsibility area: Odintsovsky, Naro-Fominsky, Istrinsky, Mozhaysky, Ruzsky, Lotoshinsky, Shakhovskoy, Volokolamsky. The main branch’s objectives are provision of reliable electric power supply of consumers in its responsibility area and services rendering on technological connection.
103 substations 35-110-220 kilovolt (k), 35-110-220 kv high voltage lines (HVL) with the length of about 3200 km, 0,4-10 kv high voltage lines (HVL) with the length of about 13000 km, 35 kv cable lines (CL) with the length of about 122 km constitute the branch’s structure. They count about 5358 transformer substations (TS).
The total number of personnel of WEG is over 2000 people.
