To increase operating efficiency, losses reduction of resources in JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” the project on the Company’s production system development is being realized with the usage of principles and methods of “lean manufacturing”.
In terms of the given project, the Managing Committee is established in branch of JSC “MOESK” – Moscow cable lines. Standard areas are defined on basis of one of the Management regions by cable grid of the Southern district: field service teams, team by repair of contactor stations, team by operation of the distribution grid.
In December of 2010 the project’s participants were taught the methods of “lean manufacturing”. The work on the operating space organization of the standard areas was held with them according to 5S principles.
As of today by the results of regular audits the positive results can be seen for correspondence to 5S system’s requirements. Cleanness is observed at all the facilities of the standard areas: instruments, equipment are easy to approach for the operative work, the planned arrangements on work places optimization are being implemented.
It’s important to note that the work’s results on reduction of things to order at the facilities of the standard areas (their amount is 7 as of today) are supported by all the project’s participants. Information on positive experience of work places organization is brought to other departments of MCG (Moscow cable grids).
We remind that 5S system has been developed in Japan and is characterized by five words, beginning with letter S: seiry – sorting, seiton – everything cutting into places, seiso – maintenance in cleanness, seiketsu – standartization, sitsuke – self-discipline and perfection. The system’s goal is working space optimization, losses reduction of working time.
