The delegation of IDGC of North-West represented by Alexander Mikhal’kov, Deputy General Director for Development and Services Sale; Yury Borisov, Deputy Chief Engineer for Operations and Process Management (OPM), Chief of the OPM Department, and Marina Kozhevnikova, Head of the Press-Service arrived at the Grid Control Centre of JSC “MOESK” on 3 February with a business visit.
The meeting started with the constructive conversation, during which Roman Voinov, Deputy Technical Director of JSC “MOESK” for Dispatch Control - Chief of the Grid Control Centre stated the tasks, which are approached by the Company today, for the visitors, and presented the immediate prospects. He told about the program of the operations and process reliability improvement, which is developed in MOESK and has already passed certain stages of approval, and now is being completed subject to the stated remarks and wishes.
Roman Voinov touched the subject of interrupted electricity supply in the Moscow Region, which occurred in the beginning of this year and was caused by the elements. He showed the representatives of the delegation of IDGC of North-West the sites where emergency rehabilitation works had been carried out using a special outline map. He said, “Thanks to the help of the Ministry of Power Industry of the Russian Federation; IDGC Holding, OJSC, our colleagues, including IDGC of North-West, taking into account the scale of the acts of nature, MOESK met the challenge quickly.”
After a “round table” discussion, the visitors could examine the work of the Grid Control Centre, and learn about its role in the process of control over electricity supply of consumers in more detail. Roman Voinov answered the questions of his colleagues and showed all of the objects supervised by the Center dispatchers on the big screen.
The participants of the delegation also visited the rest- room of dispatchers, where all of the conditions for physical and psychological restoration after hard work are provided.
When the excursion to the Grid Control Centre came to an end, Yury Borisov, representative of IDGC of North-West said, “I’ve heard a lot of MOESK’s Grid Control Centre until now, but it’s my first visit to this place. The most positive impressions. The modern dispatch control panel. The system of the operations and information complex ENMAK, which operates in MOESK, has now started to be applied in IDGC of North-West as well. The Grid Control Centre was created in “Novgorodenergo” on the basis of this complex. Today we have actually seen a well-equipped workplace of the dispatcher, which enables the dispatcher to perform his/her work quickly and accurately.
