On February the 16th, final stage of the Third All-Russian Winter Olympics for distributive electric grid complex power engineers started at “Zarya” pension in the Moscow Region.
This Olympics is symbolical for power engineers. In three years, Sochi in the name of Russia will pick up the torch from Canadian Vancouver. Several energy object important for implementation of further Olympic games are being built at Olympic city with participation of IDGC Holding, OJSC, a main shareholder of 14 largest Russian distributive electric grid companies.
Opening the Olympics, Deputy General Director – Head of Administration of IDGC Holding, OJSC Aleksander Popov noted that power engineers Olympics had justly achieved the All-Russian status as not 13 but 14 teams uniting 20 sportsmen – best representatives of leading operational companies and executive body of IDGC Holding, OJSC had come to participate in it.
The JSC “MOESK” team participates in competitions in table tennis, chess, swimming, and 10 and 5 km ski race.
