JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” uses specialized machinery of new generation while clearing of routes in fenced-off areas of electric power transmission lines.
Necessity of use of stump-to-roadside multifunction machinery of type “Harvester” is caused by the fact that the majority of electric power transmission lines on the territory of Moscow Region pass through forest areas and parkland areas. Such machinery, while cutting off threatening trees and thinning operations, fulfills several operations at the same time: felling, trimming out, bucking, what increases work performance.
At present time stump-to-roadside devices are used in the south of Moscow Region, in Ramenskoe and Podolsk districts.
“Equipping of electric grids’ districts with such machinery – is a possibility to solve fast and qualitatively problems on clearing off routes of electric power transmission lines with maximum account of production safety requirements and observation of necessary ecological standards” – Deputy Director General of Southern Electric Grids Vadim Shomesov pointed out.
