JSC “MOESK” branch – the Moscow Cable Networks has enhanced reliability of power supply of the Youth-residential complex (YRC) “Zelenograd”.
New building of the YRC includes a children education institution for 50 seats, sales areas, medical centers, and a chemists shop. For electrification of this social infrastructure JSC “MOESK” has built a new power facility.
By the force of the contracting organization of the YRC a Block Distribution Transformer Substation (BDTS) has been erected. It is equipped with two transformers 1250 kVA each and a package of cells with vacuum switches. All the equipment corresponds to operating standards.
For switching on of the facility, cable lines have been laid, with voltage10 kV, with total length 550 m.
The square of the building part of the BDTS is much less than that of the unit substation; the building is made in sole architectural style with the YRC.
As Eduard Kulikov, the deputy director on capital construction of the CCM of Zelenograd mentioned: “Works on the facility have been performed in accordance with the investment program of JSC “MOESK”. As of today construction of two feeding cable lines 10 kV is being performed, with total length 12 km. All works are performed according to the schedule. Construction of the new substation allowed enhancing reliability of power supply of the whole YRC”.
The Youth-residential complex “Zelenograd” includes houses, with total square 100 000 sq.m., a regular school, a sports complex, a building of office appointment, a garage complex for 550 parking slots with a car wash and a car service. For reliable power supply of the listed facilities four transformer substations and one block distribution transformer substation with total power 8 280 kVA have been built, more than 15 km of cable lines with voltage 10 kV and more than 8 km of cable lines, with voltage 0,4 kV have been laid.
These power facilities are in operation of the Zelenograd Administration of the YRC cable network.
Moscow cable networks- are a branch of joint-stock company "Moscow United Electric Grid Company".
Primary activities – are rendering of services on electrical energy transportation to consumers and technological connection to electrical networks.
In operation of the Moscow cable networks branch there are electrical networks 0,4-20 kV and 35 kV with total length more than 69 426 km and about 17 243 distribution and transformation substations, on which transportation of electrical energy for residential buildings and public buildings, municipal facilities, electric transport, industrial enterprises all over Moscow is performed: from the Kremlin till Kurkino and Butovo, including Zelenograd and Shcherbinka.
Total number of personnel of the branch for the beginning of 2011 is - 5142 people.
