The exhibition "Electric Grids of Russia-2010" was officially opened on 30 November in Moscow, in pavilion #69 of the All-Russia Exhibition Center. Andrey Shishkin, Deputy Minister for Energy Industry of the Russian Federation and Gennady Binko, Deputy General Director of IDGC Holding, OJSC took part in the ceremony.

Addressing the visitors of the exhibition, Gennady Binko emphasized that "the work of the uniform stand of IDGC Holding has been arranged this year, where people may receive answers to the questions about our offers all over the area of IDGC Holding presence - from Siberia to Kaliningrad". Twelve IDGCs/DGCs of the Company, including "Moscow United Electric Grid Company" took part in formation of the exposition".

Nikolay Shvets, General Director of IDGC Holding, OJSC visited the united stand on the day of the opening.

According to Alexander Uzhanov, Director for Information Policy and Communications of IDGC Holding, OJSC, “discussion of projects prepared by the representatives of small and medium-sized business and an opportunity of participation of the Company’s energy enterprises in their implementation is one of the purposes of presence of IDGC Holding, OJSC in the exhibition “Electric Grids of Russia”.

It should be noted that more than 10 cooperation proposals were received by JSC “MOESK”, among others, already on the first day of its work.

Alexander Mityaev, Director of the Strategy and Business Development Department of JSC "MOESK" participated in the work of the exhibition and answered the questions of journalists. According to him, participation in the action means for JSC "MOESK", first of all, discussion of future-oriented projects, bringing in contact in respect of such issues, which are important for development of the region, as energy saving and innovations.

The action is held for the 12th time and continues the traditions of the exhibition on the electric grid subject "PL" (power lines) ("Progress in designing, construction and operation of electric grids"), which was earlier arranged by the Ministry for Energy Industry of the USSR, and then by JSC RAO "UES of Russia".

Over 400 companies and organizations take part in the work of the exhibition. They represent more than 20 countries of the world, which include the Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain, China, Finland, France, etc. The representatives of joint-stock companies of power industry and electrification of Russia, electric grid, building, assembly and design organizations, power sectors of the CIS countries, foreign power companies and joint ventures, developers and manufacturers of equipment, designs and materials, power industry specialists of other production sectors act as exhibitors.

Russian and foreign companies present new solutions in construction of overhead and cable power lines; tools of diagnostics of overhead and cable PL; systems of protection of overhead and cable lines from overvoltage; devices of mechanization for maintaining overhead and cable lines, and systems and communication facilities used during operation of PL, etc.
