Moscow RDO (regional dispatching office) fixed the first maximum of energy consumption on the first day of winter. Electric power consumption in the Moscow Region equaled 17,166 MW at 5 p.m. of 1 December at the air temperature of -200С. The previous maximum was 16,579 MW (30 November 2010). Thus, the volumes of energy transmitted through the electric grids of JSC “MOESK” approximated the maximum indicators of the autumn and winter period of 2009-2010. Let us remind that the peak load of 16 December 2009 was 17,251 MW.
The equipment of JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” operates stably. In the morning of 2 December, power consumption in the Moscow power system was 13,582 MW at -210С.
