Specialists of High-Voltage Cable Grids - branch of JSC “MOESK” have been thanked for assistance

All-Russia scientific and research, project designing and technological institute of cable industry (VNIIKP) has thanked the specialists of the Tests and Measurements Service of High-Voltage Cable Grids for the assistance in localization of fault at the cable line of 110 kV.

In order to certify the cable line, JSC “VNIIKP” holds year’s tests of the 110 kV cable line (CL) at the Podolsk High-Voltage Cable Stand. The structure of the tested CL has one connecting and two end joint boxes mounted at the cable of about 100 meters in length. There appeared the necessity to localize the fault of the cable line.

Necessary gaugings were performed with the help of the specialists of the Tests and Measurements Service (TMS) of HVCG. The mobile measuring laboratory of TMS left for Podolsk. The specialists of TMS held necessary measurements on the basis in the presence of the representatives of the firm VISCAS, Umkotech, VNIIKP, so a break in the connecting joint box was found.

Yury Navrotsky, Deputy General Director of JSC “VNIIKP” for construction, repair, operation and service, thanked High-Voltage Cable Grids for technical assistance and noted high qualification of employees of the tests and measurements service of HVCG.

“The mobile laboratory of TMS allows to find defects at early stages of their development,” Sergey Silaev, Chief of HVCG TMS said. “In 2011 the tool base of TMS will be increased”.
