Employees of the branch of JSC “MOESC”- Western electric grids were honored by the administration of Naro-Fominsk municipal area of Moscow region. Head of Naro-Fominsk municipal area Alexander Baranov grandly awarded the employees of the power lines that succeeded in emergency and recovery works upon the liquidation of disaster effects that happened in December in 2010- January in 2011. The administration of local authority highly appreciated selfless work and prompt actions of the power engineers upon the liquidation of disaster effects when Moscow region was battered by “an ice rain”.

Handing out awards the head of the municipal area pointed: “The power engineers of Naro-Fominsk Distribution Zone summons quickly their human resources and equipment. They canalized all their resources for liquidation of the “ice rain” effect. Upon liquidation of the disaster damages he power engineers one more time demonstrated their perfect professional skills and excellent discipline”. In a conclusion Alexander Baranov wished good health, happiness, good luck, positive attitudes and big achievements “in our difficult but very necessary for people work”.

The following people were awarded with honorary certificates and grateful letters: Igor Germanov, driver ; Sergey Danilov, chief of immediate dispatch group; Aleksey Melnikov, electrician; Vitaly Beschasnov, chief engineer of Naro-Fominsk Distribution Zone; Alexander Kobenev, electrician; Yuri Zhuntov, driver; Yevgeny Formalnov, chief foreman; Yevgeny Obudennov, driver; Viktor Kuprikov, electrician of the emergency crew, Dmitry Gusev, electrician of the emergency crew.

For two weeks upon reconstruction works the power engineers of Naro-Fominsk Distribution Zone worked hard and skillfully to resume power supply of the region: hacked out glades, reclaimed the damaged supports, wired. As the specialists said they had to work in very hard conditions: waist deep in snow, working way through heaps of ice-covered branches.

It will be recalled that due to the contrary weather conditions in the 26th of December mostly the western areas of Moscow region were destructed by the disaster. Trees fall, hanging of the ice covered branches over power lines in area of Western electric grids’ responsibility that caused switching of 5 728 transformer substations, several tens of power lines. Over 20 000 trees fell down on the power lines in the distribution facilities, 469 supports were brought down. In the course of liquidation of disaster effect 68 emergency responses and restoration teams and 30 units of special equipment of the branch were involved into work. In high voltage power lines areas 12 work teams of the company re-established power supply.
