Moscow Cable Grids Have Electrified Two Galianovo Microdistricts

Moscow Cable Grids Branch (MCG) of JSC “MOESK” goes on carrying out the large-scale works directed to the rendering of power to two reconstructed power micro districts of “Galianovo” municipal formation.

To electrify the social city infrastructure, JSC “MOESK” put into operation the set of power objects.

For the power supply of the first and second micro-districts of “Golianovo”, MCG contractor organization built the block distribution transformer substation (BDTS) with the transformers of the total capacity of 2 000 kWh. The given substation has been fed through the distribution grid of 10 kV by new cable lines. During their set up the single core cable was used with the insulation made of the cross-linked polyethylene. It is special for the high reliability.

The total length of the cable lines track made up four kilometers, they were laid in quite difficult conditions of “Golianovo” whole micro district reconstruction.

According to Vasiliy Vostorgin, Head of the Moscow Cable Grids Eastern District Administration of JSC “MOESK”, “BDTS has fed the new multi-storied houses of the micro-district which helped the city to move many residents of Moscow from the district old and worn out houses meant to be demolished.” At the places of the 5 storied buildings to be demolished they are going to build new buildings and develop the infrastructure of the first and second micro districts of Galianovo.

Within the framework of the city program realization directed to the demolition of the low-rise buildings and constructions they build new cozy and comfortable multi-storied buildings. Together with this they are going to renew the whole engineering infrastructure providing the comfort life conditions in these houses, especially in the Eastern district, for the power supply of the newly built residential houses. The transformer substations of 630 and 1000 kWa have been already put into force. The given distribution grid will help to provide the object load of more than 3 000 kWa at a time.

Moscow Cable Grids operate of the cable grids of 0,4-20 kV and 35 kV, of 69 046 km total length and 17 243distribution and transformer substations through which they carry out the electric power transmission for the residential and social buildings, objects of the city economy, power transport, and industrial enterprises of Moscow: from Kremlin to Kurkino and Butovo, including Zelenograd and Shcherbinka.

The total population of the branch personnel accounts for 5 142 persons.
