On 5 May 2011, Shatura REG of the Eastern Electric Grids, a branch of JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company”, will accommodate emergency and fire-prevention training in eliminating emergency situations related to technological disturbances in the operation of the equipment. The training was organized on the initiative of the Fuel-and-Energy Committee of the Moscow region. The Eastern Electric Grids will carry it out together with territorial units of EMERCOM, local and public authorities. In addition, representatives of other municipal districts of the Moscow area will be invited for the exchange of experience and knowledge.
In accordance with the legend of the training, forest fire and peat inflammation near overhead power lines resulted in deenergization of consumers. The actions aimed at extinguishing fire and restoring normal power supply scheme compose the main purpose of the training.
In addition, the action plan of the EEG Operation Headquarters, Operation Headquarters of the Yegoriyevsk and Shatura REG, which territory is mostly subject to forest and peat fires, will be tried out.
As well, actions of the senior staff of the eastern branch of JSC “MOESK” in a complicated setting will be mastered, and proposals for taking decisions in emergency situations will be worked out.
The training will allow advancing skills of the Duty Dispatching Service, Operative Field, and Emergency Response and Restoration teams in the course of implementing measures in localization, elimination of emergency situations, and restoration of power supply to consum
