Capital repair of transformers is executed on “Vykhino” substation

On “Vykhino” substation (SS) of branch of JSC “MOESK” – Central Electric Grids capital repair of power transformers T1 and T2 110/10/6 kV is carried out. Total capacity of equipment is 126 MVA.

In frames of planned arrangements transformers with remote refrigerating system are repaired, rubber seals and valves of equipment are replaced, repair of OLTC (on-load tap-changer) gears, contactors and selectors is carried out.

New thermal image temperature indicators are installed on transformer, blowing motor sets and oil pumps are replaced on coolers. Besides, cleaning and degasification of transformer oil of volume of more than 70 tons is carried out. Before installation each power transformer passed through high-voltage test. Works on capital repair of equipment are executed by efforts of JSC “Power Plant on Repair of Electrical and Technical Equipment ”.

Last time repair of transformers on substation was carried out in 2003. Power engineers watch thoroughly for equipment’s condition, carrying out repair and maintenance according to distinctly scheduled terms. This provides power reliability of the Company, allows to avoid non-planned disconnections of consumers.


Substation 110/10 kV “Vyhkino” refers to Karacharovo group of substations of South-Eastern District of High-Voltage Electric Grids. It powers residential communities of Vykhino, Kuz’minki, Zhulebino, Veshnyaki districts. Besides it, JSC “Kuskovo Chemicals Plant” and 15th City Hospital are among large customers.
