Branch of Joint-Stock Company “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” - Moscow Cable Networks (MCN) - carried the work to completion, related to power supply of cross functional residential compound and centre for the rehabilitation of disabled persons on Admiral Lazarev Street.

Residential complex “Lazarevskoye” presents several two-section 24- storey buildings, located at the site of 4.5 ha, in environmentally friendly area of the capital – Yuzhnoye Butovo.

For the power supply of the complex a block-distribution transformer substation was built, where modern equipment is installed, two transformers of 1600 kVA per each and low voltage assembling.

From two feeding centers - substation “Gavrikovo” (branch of JSC “MOESK” - Central Electric Networks and substation “Butovo”) - up to block-distribution transformer substation 10 kV feeding cable lines are installed, the total length of which amounted to over 1.2 km. Also a transformer substation is constructed with two transformers of 1250 kVA per each.

In order to avoid long approval procedures and shorten terms of undertaken works, not to remove asphalt coat from the road that passes nearby, not to disturb landscape of building estate, during installation of cable lines a new technique had been used: the method of horizontal directional drilling, which is distinct in a higher complexity.

New substations and equipment enter in the responsibility zone of Management of cable networks in south-western district of MCN. Chief engineer of the Company Aleksey Sirotkin said, “All works on power supply of the residential complex carried to completion strictly according to the schedule. In addition to residential houses, whole necessary for convenient and comfortable stay infrastructure of the residential complex was electrified. This object is included in the investment program of JSC “MOESK” for 2011.”
