Team of JSC “MOESK” Enters Final Straight of All-Russian Competitions of Workmanship

On the 13th of September the team of JSC “MOESK” underwent the fifth and the sixth stages of the All-Russian competitions of the workmanship of the insulation services’ teams and protection against over voltage of the electric equipment in the distribution grid complex of IDGC Holding, OJSC.

On stage # 5 “Fault localization in 10 kV cable line with a paper insulation”, the power engineers of MOESK not only confined themselves within a time limit, but also saved 10 minutes; thanks to this the judges added 10 points to the total result of the tests. As a result the team earned 180 points of 200 possible points.

The sixth stage of the All-Russian competitions of the workmanship (the federal stage of the All-Russian competition of the workmanship “The best by profession” in nomination “The best electrician”) added 193 points more to the team of MOESK. This result – is one of the best results among the teams which underwent the stage.

The power engineers of MOESK made a measurement of resistance of an earthing device of a substation and checked the chains phase-zero in 0,4 kV grid, i.e. a series of the arrangements guaranteeing, that in case of short circuit on a line walking off a substation, the connected subscribers will be out of danger, since automatic circuit breakers will be activated. Time assigned by a regulation – is 45 minutes. The team has managed to cope with the task and as a result earned 193 points. In the course of the stage the judges specified a good fitting of the team with the protection equipment, devices and instruments.

- The team worked smoothly and well-coordinated, no serious remarks on part of the judges took place. Our power engineers completed both stages with a time margin, which tells on a good level of their experience and knowledge. The given types of works are made regularly by all the insulation services of MOESK, that’s why the team’s members were just to concentrate and show maximally what they are able to do, - summarized the team head of JSC “MOESK” Gennady Nefedov.

Presently the team of MOESK has two last stages to pass. One of them stipulates the works demonstration on liberation of a suffered person against electrical current and rendering the first aid to him/her, the second stage – is preventive tests of a transformer with issuance of a decision on its technical state.
