Power engineers of JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company” are implementing successfully a large-scale program to renovate a distribution grid (0,4; 6-10 kV) in the West of Moscow Region.

Currently the capital repair works of the distribution grid (0,4 kV) are being completed in settlement Repische of Odintsovo region. 500 meters of the non-insulated aluminum wire have been substituted at an area of a power transmission line (PTL) by a self-supporting insulated conductor (SSIC). Thanks to a multiconductor wire, containing insulated conductors and a bearing element, meant for support or hang a wire, the following phenomena are excluded: short circuits, breaks due to trees falling down, icing and snow adhering. In the course of the grid reconstruction, 17 concrete poles were installed instead of the worn out wooden poles.

Upon the works completion the similar arrangements will be continued in the given settlement in the territory of 36 population aggregates of Odintsovo region 9 population aggregates of Mozhaysk region.

In 2012 following the works’ results on the distribution grid reconstruction, included in the responsibility area of the branch, the enterprise fulfilled a capital repair at 472 km of the power transmission line, 208.8 ha of the routes were cleared off in order to exclude a probability of trees falling down on PTL.

By the words of Victor Ivanov, the chief engineer of the Western Electric Grids: “The branch undertakes all the necessary and timely measures to provide the reliability of the electrical equipment’s function. Under the repair works fulfillment the new hi tech equipment, materials and component parts are used, and it guarantees a qualitative and reliable power supply of the consumers of Odintsovo, Naro-Fominsk, Istra, Ruzsky, Mozhaysk, Volokolamsk, Lotoshino, Shakhovsky districts”.
