JSC “MOESK” Continues to Take Care of Children’s Electric Traumatism Prevention

Totals of the annual beneficent action “Kind electricity – to children” are summed up for 2012 in Moscow United Electric Grid Company. During a year the specialists of the occupational safety divisions of JSC “MOESK” held 56 open lessons on theme “Electrical safety” in schools and kindergartens of Moscow and Moscow region, and also in summer health improvement camps, attended by more than 3,5 thousand children and teachers. Besides that, more than 5 thousand children got the gifts from the Company - special promotional items of MOESK (magnets, straight scales, trinkets etc.) with the electrical safety rules engraved on them.

Holding of action was approved by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin. Its’ main objective was the electric traumatism cases prevention among children and teenagers owing to the quality increase of the information work among the population.

At the electrical safety lessons the power engineers told the children in an understandable form on electrical shock hazard for a person’s health and behavior rules near the electric grid complex’s facilities. Using a special mannikin, they were demonstrated the first medical aid devices.

It’s worth specifying, that within the framework of the action not only lessons for children, but as well educatory seminars for teachers were held. So, in the course of the preparation to the scholastic year of 2012/2013, JSC “MOESK” initiated holding of special “round-table discussions” with the representatives of the educational institutions of Moscow and Moscow Region, where it represented the Moscow Region’s teachers the methodological recommendations and handout materials to hold electrical safety lessons.

During the “round-table discussions” the directors of school and pre-school educational institutions, as well as life safety teachers, were acquainted by the employees of the occupational safety divisions of MOESK with the new methods of a preventive lesson for children and teenagers. These methods take into account the audience’s age peculiarities and make it possible to set forth the children, in an understandable and clear form, all the necessary information how to handle electricity. A cartoon, video play and visual agitation production help the children to digest the received knowledge on the electrical safety rules, developed specially by MOESK specialists.

In the course of the action holding, grateful letters were received many times on behalf of the educational establishments’ heads to the address of head of JSC “MOESK” Pyotr Sinyutin and directors of the Company’s branches.

Methods of an electrical safety lesson, developed by the specialists of Moscow United Electric Grid Company, formed the basis for the first time in 2012 year for pioneering project “Electrical New Year” in the Panopticon of scientific entertainment. During the New Year’s holidays, the hundreds of Moscow schoolchildren and guests of the capital city became not only spectators of a unique scientific educational show “Megavolt – Lightning Lord”, acquainting the children with the effect of electricity, but also could digest in a softly interactive and playing form, the electrical safety rules, which are so necessary in everyday life.
