The electrical grids of the new Moscow will become more reliable. The branch of JSC “MOESK” – the Western Electric Grids successfully implements the program of replacement of old power line conductors by self-supporting insulated wires (SSIW) in the Naro-Fominsk District, in the new Moscow. Implementation of a complex of measures is aimed to modernize the electric grid economy of the distribution complex in the grid of 0.4, 6-10 kV to ensure quality and reliability of power supply of new Moscow districts, which have included rural settlements: Petrovsky, Novo-Fyodorovskoye, Pervomaiskoye, Marushkinskoye.

Based on the results of 11 months, energy specialists of the branch in the territory of new Moscow replaced by SIP and built new 0.4 kV overhead power lines (OL) of over 9.5 kilometers and approximately 14.5 kilometers at 10 kV OL.

Now modernization of the distribution grid of 0.4 kV in the village Rudnevo is in the process of completion. In order to ensure reliable power supply of the settlement, the existing package transformer substations (PTS) of 400 KVA attached additionally 2 KTP of 100 kVA each, and one KTP of 25 kVA. The Western Electric Grids completely reconstruct the existing grid of 0.4 kV by way of replacement of 1 km of wire by SSIW. In order to create favorable conditions for connection of new subscribers to the electrical grids of JSC “MOESK”, energy specialists built another 1.5 km of power lines.

Reconstructing and constructing new power lines, JSC “MOESK” uses modern equipment and materiel. SSIW is a technical novelty designed for transmission and distribution of electricity in the overhead power and illumination grids. Thanks to stranded wire, containing insulated cores and bearing element to fix or hang wires, short circuits are excluded, as well as breaks through falling trees, icing and snow sticking.
