We are open to cooperation and ready to offer information materials to journalists on the issues of the Company’s activity, help to arrange comments and interview with managers and leading specialists of PJSC “Rosseti Moscow Region”.
04.12.2012
Branch of JSC “MOESK” – Moscow cable grids – has taken part in conference “Safe cable”, which took place in Moscow within the framework of the jubilee 15th specialized exhibition “Electric grids of Russia – 2012” from the 27th to the 30th of November of 2012.
The following people spoke at the conference from JSC “Moscow United Electric Grid Company”: “Safe cable – is our choice”, which took place at the All-Russian Exhibition Center, Deputy Director General – Director of branch High-voltage cable grids (HVCG) Eduard Podadaev and chief operating manager of the distribution grids of branch Moscow Cable Grids (MCG) Vladimir Trekov.
Reporters gave attention to the theme of choice of equipment and, inter alia, that of cable; provision of a correct installation and putting into operation, as well as safe and reliable operation. Eduard Podadaev told about the activities of branch of JSC “MOESK” – High-Voltage Cable Grids and on criteria, which the power engineers are guided by when choosing a cable.
Eduard Leonidovich emphasized, that the principle objective of HVCG is “construction of high-voltage cable lines and their safe operation”. Also, by the reporter’s words, under the work a great importance is attached to the complex approach application to the safety of cabling and wiring products. First and foremost, a big attention is paid to the quality checking of the very cable, secondly, to constructing and designing of high-voltage grids. Eduard Leonidovich demonstrated the actual examples of poor quality production, which the specialists of High-voltage Cable Grids had to deal with, as well as he specified clearly the requirements, set currently to cable products. “Cables and cable fittings, capable of providing a good quality and reliable power supply of consumers are chosen as early as a designing stage”, – noted Eduard Leonidovich.
There is the following equipment in the responsibility area of HVCG: more than 280 high-voltage cable power transmission lines of 110-500 kV with the total length of over 900 km, 1,125 cable constructions. Over 150 feeding centers are connected with each other by the cable and cable-overhead lies of HVCG. The quantity of electric power, wheeled through the cable lines, operated by HVCG, amounted to 75,153,586 ths. kWh as of 01.01.2012.
Under construction and reconstruction of the cable lines, the specialists of HVCG give preference to the cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation, with a longitudinal and transverse sealing, all the production is attested properly, according to the technical policy of JSC “MOESK”. Such modern cables are reliable, convenient in service, secure a high transmission capacity.
Vladimir Trekov brought to the notice of the audience the statistics of the cable lines damageability, operated by Moscow Cable Grids, and gave a detailed analysis of the reasons for it. He drew attention to the fact that the main suppliers of cable for MCG are the native producers and gave a high estimation of their production. He emphasized that in Moscow Cable Grids one hundred-per-cent incoming inspection of quality is well established.
As of 01.01.2012 the volume of the grid, operated by MCG – branch of JSC “MOESK”, amounted to 178 thousand cable lines with the voltage of 0,4–35 kV and the total length of about 60 thousand km.
Peak of damageability was observed in year 1998; under the grid volume of 50 thousand kilometers, it amounted to 12,436 damages of CL per year, which in terms of the specific damageability amounted to 24,4 damages per 100 km of the cable’s length per year. In subsequent years (1998–2011) in terms of the growth of the grid’s volume, the cable lines’ damageability was reduced constantly. As of 01.01.2012 this figure amounted to 7,672 damages per year, while the grid’s volume was 60 thousand km. (13,7 pcs./100km per year). Thereby the arrangements undertaken by the Executive Board and by the personnel reduced a relative damageability of the new cable lines from 3 to 1%. It proves, that the severe requirements of MCG discipline the suppliers, and as a result, the Company receives the high quality production only.
Reports of the representatives of JSC “MOESK” aroused much interest of the organizers (“Cable Alliance Holding”, LLC) and producers of the cable who were present in the hall.
