High-power cyclone, which occurred in the evening on the 29th of November, brought about electricity failures of the consumers of IDGC of North-West, JSC. The neighboring regions’ teams are sent to assist the colleagues.
Upon a decision of the headquarters of the electric grid complex, in the regions which have suffered from environment rampancy, Pskov engineers are getting help from the contractor organizations and teams of JSC “FGC UES” and IDGC Holding, OJSC, sent from the neighboring regions, among them also those from Moscow and Moscow region.
From JSC “MOESK” 4 teams (22 specialists and 4 units of equipment) are sent to Pskov region from the branches of JSC “MOESK” - Northern, Southern, Western, Eastern electric grids, equipped with the necessary equipment and special vehicles. Deputy Director General – technical director of JSC “MOESK” Anatoly Chegodaev renders the methodic aid on site of the works carrying out. The specialists of MOESK are sharing experience as to carrying out and organizing of the emergency recovery works and renders the active assistance. Two years ago Moscow United Electric Grid Company encountered the large-scale electricity failures, caused by rare act of nature – icy rain. In its asset the Company has an invaluable experience: the practical recommendations have been elaborated as to a complete set of the emergency reserve, staff of the duty and operating personnel, organization of communication and cooperation. The teams of MOESK carry out the works in the responsibility area of the Western Electric Grids “Pskovenergo” – branch of IDGC of North-West, JSC (town Opochka).
Presently the power engineers of MOESK are working in Moscow and Moscow region in the regime of high alert, which was introduced at once after a storm warning receipt from 00 a.m. on the 04th of December. Over 2 thousand specialists and over five hundred units of the special vehicles have been involved in the duty.
