Installation of New Equipment Started at Substation “Odintsovo”

“Moscow United Electric Grid Company” (MOESK) was the first to start installation of Russian-Chinese cross-connect equipment on “Odintsovo” substation (SS) of 110/35/10/6 kV. At the moment its installation is being implemented in the building, especially constructed for it. It was scheduled to put this high-tech electrical installation and to switch on all the high-voltage electrical equipment at the end of the third quarter of the current year.

At the same time 54 cells are being installed in a new premise for 6 kV indoor switchgear. Necessary action plan for 110kV overhead line switching is being fulfilled according to the project. In parallel with the main works directed to the reconstruction of the central feeding center, building of necessary engineering infrastructure is being accomplished.

It’s planned to implement the whole range of works in 2014. To put it into effect JSC “MOESK” will allocate about RUR 3.1 bln for the substation improvement.

The modernization of the operating SS “Odintsovo” with usage of the most up-to-date equipment and materials will increase total transformer capacity more than 3.5 times, and it will amount to 286 MVA. It will also play an important role in providing consumers and large manufacturing outfits with reliable power supply, and will establish favourable conditions for connection of consumers of the fast growing district.
