“Moscow United Electric Grid Company” is carrying out works on reconstruction of distribution grids on the territory of New Moscow.

Comprehension set of measures fulfillment is directed to renovation of electric grid sector in a grid of 0.4-10 kV to provide customers of new Moscow districts, including rural villagers in Western Moscow area: Petrovskiy, Novo-Fyodorovskoe, Pervomayskoe, Marushkinskoe, for reliable electric power supply of high quality.

Since the beginning of the reconstruction power engineers have replaced more than 21.5 km bare conductors with self-supporting insulated wire (such as SIW-2 and SIW-3) in distribution grids. Owing to twisted conductor, covered with insulating material, working lifespan increases considerably, and transmission losses reduce.

While reconstructing overhead power lines of 0.4-10 kV in some localities, works on creating conditions for New Moscow consumers’ connection to the grids of JSC “MOESK” are carried out. To increase transformer capacity, out-of-date complete transformer substations (CTS) are replaced with the new ones. As a result of executed works, transformer capacity has increased 1.5 times (from 250 to 400 kW) in village Verhov’e , for consumers of village Kamenka - 2 times ( additional CTS of 160 kW was installed ), ) in village Rassudovo - 1.5 times (from 250 to 400 kW), in village Kryokshino total transformer capacity has grown by 160kW.

As Engineering Manager of Western electric grids, a branch of JSC “MOESK”, Victor Ivanov says, by the beginning of autumn- winter season of 2013-2014 (a season of on-peak condition) such works will have been completed in villages: Vlasovo, Bolshoe Pokrovskoe and others. He also marked that the fulfillment of ambitious goals on grids reconstruction, renovation of electric power facilities on the territory of New Moscow, will create favorable conditions for assurance of uninterrupted operations of The Capital’s distribution grid complex.
