During 2013 it is planned to replace approximately 610 km of non-insulated wire for self-supporting insulated wire of type SIW-2 and SIW-3 at 0.4/6/10 kV overhead lines in the branch of JSC “MOESK” – Southern Electric Grids (SEG).

At the moment works on 80 km of overhead electric power transmission lines were executed in southern districts of Moscow region according to plan. The largest volume was realized in Serpukhov and Chekhov districts.

Use of SIW-type wires will allow solving a problem of technical state maintenance of electric grids at modern level. Owing to its structural features – availability of insulating cover on current-carrying conductors and higher mechanical strength, use of SIW-type wires provides significant reliability increase and uninterruptable electric power supply of consumers. Besides, this technical solution will allow to reduce significantly losses while electric power transmission, operational and repair expenses.

In 2013 JSC “MOESK” allocated more than RUR bln. 4.5 for renewing and enlargement of 0.4/6/10 kV distribution grids in the south of Moscow region. Investment program provides execution of works at 5 ths. of facilities in the responsibility area of SEG branch: in Podol’sk, Chekhov, Moscokovskiy and other districts of electric grids.

All arrangements being executed are aimed at quality improvement and reliability increase of electric power supply of consumers of southern Moscow region.
