The specialists of JSC "Moscow United Electric Grid Company" (MOESK) in the shortest time have completed repair and recovery works in the area of 110 kV overhead power line Beskudnikovo - Babushkin, the operation of which was disrupted by line break. All consumers have been connected to the power supply under the normal scheme.

According to the preliminary version the line break occurred as a result of mechanical damage by a crane, which, being on the platform of the moving train, touched the wire by its arm. The amount of damage and owner of the equipment are in the process of identification.

Repair and recovery crews and equipment of MOESK were sent to the place of the overhead line fault within the shortest time. To provide electricity supply to disconnected consumers under the back-up scheme, 18 mobile power substations of 1.3 - 10 MVA were used promptly.

The total disconnected capacity equaled 9.6 MW.

Let us note that the line fault was the result of violation of safety rules by a third party in PL security zones. This is not the first case of tampering electrical networks, which leads to disruption of stable power supply to consumers in the Moscow Region. MOESK experts once again remind of the need to coordinate all activities in PL protected areas with energy specialists, as well as meet safety precautions proper near power lines.
