Subsidiary Company of MOESK – JSC “Moskabel’set’montazh” Performs Works to Increase Power Supply Reliability of Moscovites

Within the framework of the investment program of Moscow United Electric Grid Company, JSC “Moskabel’set’montazh” (MKSM) started performing the works on the following title at the end of July of year 2013: “Reconstruction of 110 kV cable line “Choboty–Polyot 1,2” from SS “Choboty” to SS “Polyot” for the needs of a branch of JSC “MOESK” – High-voltage Cable Grids. The reconstruction of 110 kV cable line “Choboty–Polyot 1,2” stipulates a substitution a high pressure oil-immersed cable by a modern cable with the insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene and current-carrying conductor with the section of 630 sq.mm (CityCable).

Total length of the reconstructed area will amount to 7145 m. All the cable line (CL) is laid into the existing pipes of high pressure 110 kV cable line after its dismantlement. Quantity of the cable fittings to install a new CL – is 102 units. The cable route goes through the Western and Novomoskovsky administrative districts of Moscow. The reconstruction completion is planned in the fourth quarter of year 2013. The works at the facility are being performed to increase power supply reliability of the capital city’s consumers, in particular, those of the Western administrative district.

MKSM have started fulfilling the works at the facility for the needs of a branch of JSC “MOESK” – Moscow Cable Grids: “Re-laying of 13 feeding cable lines (FCL) 6-10 kV from SS 417 to Distribution Transformer Substations 14163, 11030, 1585, 2392, 312” in the Eastern administrative district.

Re-laying of 13 FCL stipulates a substitution of the obsolete oil-immersed cable of brand ASB in three-phase execution with a current-carrying aluminium conductor with section 3х240 sq.mm by a cable with the insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene in a single-phase execution 1х240 sq.mm.

Total length of the cable route will amount to 4312 m, including laying by indoor way using a method of horizontal directional drilling - 480 m. The total quantity of the re-laid cable amounts to 136,662 m. The works completion for relaying of 13 FCL is planned in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Re-laid cable route goes through the Eastern administrative district of Moscow. The works on this facility are being performed in order to increase the power supply reliability of the capital city’s consumers, in particular those of the Eastern administrative district.
