Within the framework of the investment program implementation a branch of JSC “MOESK” - Central Electric Grids (CEG) is continuing to reconstruct 110/10/6 kV substation “Rostokino”.

Switching equipment of the following connections has been substituted: 110 kV overhead line (OL) “Sviblovo – Rostokino I”, “Sviblovo – Rostokino II”, transformers T-2 with the capacity of 63 MVA, T-3 with the capacity of 40.5 MVA.

Oil circuit breakers of type MMO-110 have been substituted by foreign production SF6 circuit breakers, as well as bus and line isolators produced in 1953 have been substituted by the modern ones of pantograph type as well of the foreign production. New 110 kV transformer disconnecting devices T-2 and T-3, which were earlier absent in the scheme, have been installed.

– The feeding center reconstruction promotes to the power supply reliability increase owing to the new modern equipment installation, - Deputy Director - chief engineer of CEG Pavel Samylov specified. – Besides that, the timely renewal of the electrical equipment will tell positively on the safety level increase of the operational personnel when making switches, thanks to the transfer to remote control o the switching units. We have managed to achieve the labor expenses reduction for the equipment maintenance, simplicity of operation, flexibility increase of the scheme when taking down the power transformers for repairs.

Till the year end they plan to substitute the switching equipment at SS “Rostokono” of the connections of the bus-tie oil circuit breakers (BTOCB) -110 kV and 110 kV OL “Butyrki-Rostokino II” with sealing off at SS “Ostankino”.

SS “Rostokino” was constructed in 1953. It delivers electric power to such consumers as TV center “Ostankino”, All-Russian Exhibition Center, Botanichesky garden, single rail transport system, subway stations “Alexeevskaya”, “VDNKH” and “Botanichesky garden”.

The current year CEG plan to invest RUR 20 mln to this substation reconstruction. Since the year beginning RUR 19 mln 128 ths have been invested to the feeding center renewal.
