In July Unfair Consumers Pay JSC “MOESK” More than RUR 20 mln for Non-contractual Electric Power Consumption

JSC “MOESK” is continuing to repress the facts of unauthorized connection to the electric grids and unlawful use of electric power. In July of year 2013 within the framework of action “Honest kilowatt” the specialists of the Company held several hundred raids to reveal cases of the non-accounted and non-contractual electric power consumption.

According to the data of branch of JSC “MOESK” “Energouchet”, drawing up 273 acts for 19.2 mln kWh has become the work result for control of the non-accounted electric power consumption in July of the current year.

On the whole 14.4 mln kWh, consumed with the violations of the accounting rules, were put to the productive supply of electric power in the Company, for July of 2013.

191 acts were drawn up in July for non-contractual consumption. Thereby its volume has amounted to 14.4 mln kWh, with the total cost of RUR 65.7 mln.

Among the acts drawn up earlier in the reporting period, 202 acts of the non-contractual consumption were paid for 5.2 mln kWh or RUR 20.7 mln.

Main goal of action “Honest kilowatt” – is not a punishment of concrete violators, but rather warning of the population about hazard and responsibility for self-willed electric power consumption. In the course of the raids the power engineers pay attention of the citizens to the consequences of the electric power unauthorized use. Unqualified connection to the grids brings about the power supply quality reduction, voltage drops in the grid, electric appliances spoilage and fire hazardous situations creation. Besides that, the administrative, and in series of cases even criminal liability is stipulated for violators.

Specialists of JSC “MOESK” pay a special attention of the citizens to a gross infringement of the safety regulations when performing unauthorized works at the electric grid facilities. The power engineers perform all the necessary works only on deenergized power transmission lines, meanwhile amateurs of “free of charge” electricity, aimed at making a throw over, climb the poles of a functioning line. A single careless movement in this case can result in electric shock. And, unfortunately, often such situations result in a fatality of a suffered person. JSC “MOESK” warns: a self-willed connection to the electric grids does not only bring about damage to a grid company, but as well is hazardous for life!
