Renovated Substation “Sitnya” Provides Novoye Stupino with Electric Power

Branch of JSC “MOESK” Southern Electric Grids is reconstruction 110 kV substation (SS) “Sitnya” in Stupino district of Moscow Region.

At the last days of August the second transformer was put into operation on a feeding center, after a successful carrying out of the commissioning trials.

In the course of the first reconstruction stage, at the end of the last year, JSC “MOESK” together with JSC “Plant RETO” performed the design and survey works to renovate the feeding center. The power engineers elaborated a project of the temporary power supply of the substation in order to substitute 10 MVA power transformers by more powerful ones of 25 MVA. In February of the current year the first from tow transformers was installed and put into operation. Besides that, longitudinal coupling and section oil circuit breakers (of type VMG-133-1000) were substituted by the vacuum ones (VBP-10-31.5/1600).

So, currently, as a result of the substitution of both transformers, the capacity of the substation has increased by 30 MVA.

The second renovation stage of the feeding center stipulates the reconstruction fulfillment of 110 kV outdoor switchgear with the installation of SF6 circuit breakers and 10 kV distributing device with the construction of two additional sections, meant for connection of 14 single-cable cells, which will improve the selectivity and reliability of 10 kV grid . The following equipment will be placed in the substation control house: the equipment set of the relay protection chains, automation and control, teleautomatics, local distribution boards and panels of SS. The planned term of the works completion – is year 2016.

Reconstruction of the feeding center will increase the power supply quality and reliability of Stupino distirct of Moscow Region, as well as will give an opportunity to connect new electric power consumers; the largest among whereof – is low-rise town Novoye Stupino.
