A branch of JSC “MOESK” – the Central Electric Grids (CEG) has completed the first reconstruction sage of 110/10/6 kV substation “Koptevo”. The renovation project of the feeding center is being performed within the framework of the long-term investment program of the energy company and is meant for the period till year 2016. In year 2013 the total expenditures scope will exceed RUR 45 mln.
As of today new 6 kV indoor switchgear (ISG), 6 kV integrated switchgear equipped with the cells of series K-104 with the vacuum circuit breakers have been put into operation. To increase reliability and capacity of the feeding center, transformer T-4 with the capacity of 40.5 MVA with the voltage of 110-10-6 kV was installed additionally with the modern SF6 circuit breaker and an outdoor bus disconnecting device. A new relay cabinet, two accumulator batteries, direct-current board, reactors, board and auxiliary transformers were also installed in the building of the indoor switchgear.
Putting the equipment into operation has become the first among nine stages, necessary to switch 6 kV equipment on a normal scheme. The reconstruction of 110 kV outdoor switchgear is in store.
Besides that, the new cable tunnels have been already constructed to transfer 6-10 kV cables. After the transfer of 6 kV cables to the new indoor switchgear, the obsolete 6 kV complete distribution device of external installation will be dismantled, and 10 kV indoor switchgear will be constructed to substitute it.
“Renovation of the substation is necessary to increase reliability and quality of the consumer power supply. At the completing stage of reconstruction the new transformers of 63 MVA will be installed instead of two transformers of 40.5 MVA, which will increase significantly the feeding center capacity and will give an opportunity to connect new consumers using 10 kilovolt grid”, - specified Director of CEG Vsevolod Ivanov.
Substation “Koptevo” is one of the key feeding centers of the North of the capital city. It provides great many socially and economically significant facilities with power supply, including the underground, JSC “Mosgorsvet”, State Unitary Enterprise “Mosgortrans”, hospitals, schools, kindergartens, residential houses.
