In the course of the next reconstruction stage of 110/10/6 kV substation “Sheremet’yevo” the specialist of branch of JSC “MOESK” – Northern Electric Grids switched on a power transformer (T-2) with the capacity of 63 MVA. Its transfer to the new mode the work was made after the launch of 10 kV indoor switchgear.

Reconstruction of substation “Sheremet’yevo” is made within the framework of the investment program of JSC “MOESK” and governor’s program “Our Moscow Region. Development priorities”. The total scope of the investments into the project amounted to about RUR 1 bln.

As a result of the works performed the substation capacity has increased by almost 60% – from 80 MVA to 126 MVA.

On the previous reconstruction stages the new 110 kV outdoor switchgear (OSG) was also constructed on the feeding center; six cells whereof are equipped with SF6 circuit breakers produced by Siemens. OSG is installed on the scheme “two working bus systems”, meant for connection of three lines, two power transformers and bus coupler circuit-breaker. Three overhead lines of 110 kV are put into the new switchgear: “Beliy Rast – Sheremet’yevo”, “Sheremet’yevo – Lugovaya” and “Sheremet’yevo – Dolgoprudnaya with a sealing off”.

Director of branch Northern Electric Grids Alexey Irzhak emphasizes that the feeding center reconstruction will provide not only a reliable power supply of international airport complex “Sheremet’yevo” but as well will create the additional conditions for the city districts development: Khimki, Dolgoprudniy, Lobnya, Mytischi and Solnechnogorsk districts of Moscow Region. The housing and industrial construction is being performed actively in these municipal formations. Just in Solnechnogorsk district the large investment construction companies are assimilating over 530 ths. sq. meters of the construction.
