Preparation of the electric grid sector of JSC “MOESK” to the forthcoming autumn and winter season in Troitsky and Novomoskovskiy administrative districts of Moscow is coming to an end. The arrangements are being fulfilled according to the plans of the repair and investment programs, according to the approved work schedules.
Today there are the following facilities in the service area in the connected capital city’s territories: 22 substations 35-220 kV with the total capacity of almost 1,430 MVA, over 2,320 km of overhead power transmission lines with the voltage of 0.4-6-10 and 35-220 kV, over 1,140 cable grids, as well as 686 transformer and distribution stations with the total capacity of 257.5 MVA.

Power supply is made by Troitsk, Moskovsk, Naro-fominsk, Podolsk and Odintsovo distribution zones. An issue to create a new branch of the Company is also being worked over currently in MOESK in order to service the districts connected to the capital city.

To increase the power supply quality of consumers, a new power supply scheme is being developed. By the words of the first Deputy Technical Director of MOESK Vadim Shomesov, the document will take into account the practicability of the distribution grids development with the voltage of 6-20 kV, as well as the new feeding centers construction with due account for backup of capacities. A key difference is – is a grid building principle, which is maximally loopback, that makes it possible to provide power supply of consumers according to the standards of the capital city metropolis. As a result the quality indicators of the equipment function will be achieved, conditions for a subsequent development will be created as to connection to the electric grids.

Let us specify that as of today at average on the annual basis, the power engineers of MOESK liquidate the technological disturbances in the grids of Moscow for 47 minutes; it’s also a high indicator judging by the European norms. This indicator amounts to 167 minutes in the territories of New Moscow, in Moscow Region – 182 minutes.

According to the data of MOESK, thanks to the complex of arrangements held in the company to increase the power supply reliability and quality, the well-defined dynamics of the terms reduction of outages has been traced in the capital city’s region within the last several years.
