A branch of JSC “MOESK” – the Western Electric Grids has completed the design and survey works and started fulfilling the next reconstruction stage of 110/10/6 kV substation “Dedovo” in Istra region.

On the first stage to take off overload, transformer 40 MVA was installed additionally in the grid to two existing power transformers with the capacity each by 25 MVA.

In the course of the forthcoming stage they plan to install one more transformer 40 MVA, equipped with the automatic voltage control device. Whereafter two transformers which function now with the total capacity of 50 MVA will be out of service.

Reconstruction of 110 kV outdoor switchgear (OSG) will take place simultaneously. Modern SF6 circuit breakers will be installed instead of the obsolete ones. To increase the transmission capacity, the second chain of 110 kV overhead line (OL) “Sloboda – Dedovo” will be constructed. From now forth transformers T-1 and T-2 with the total capacity of 80 MVA will be substituted by two power autotransformers each by 63 MVA.

So, towards year 2015 as at completion of the entire complex of the works, the output capacity of substation “Dedovo” will be increased by 2.5 times.

By the words of Director of the Western Electric Grids Victor Ivanov, the substation reconstruction – is one of the large-scale projects of the long-term investment program of a branch of MOESK. “A necessary complex of the works will be fulfilled at the facility in operation without power outage of the consumers”, - specified Victor Ivanov.

Arrangements held are aimed at increasing the power supply quality of consumers of Istra region and favorable conditions creation to connect new subscribers.
