JSC “MOESK” has entered the final straight in the reconstruction of 110 kV “Khutorskaya” substation of the branch Central Electric Grids. New modern electrical equipment of 110 kV will be put into operation before the end of the year.
Renovation of the feeding center “Khutorskaya” which supplies power to such important facilities as the Russian Railroad and the plant named after V.V. Chernyshev was launched in 2006. MOESK plans to invest more than RUR 632 nm in the renovation of the substation. Before the end of this year, the Central Electric Grids will invest RUR 80 mn in the reconstruction of the facility.
At the moment, the electrical equipment of 110 kV has been installed completely. Old and inefficient in operation short-circuit breakers and disconnecting devices have been replaced by modern imported gas-insulated switches. New circuit breakers, current and voltage transformers, surge arresters have been mounted.
“The equipment will be managed from the remote control unit of disconnecting devices. This will allow the person-on-duty to make all the necessary manipulations being at a distance from the operating electrical equipment,” Vsevolod Ivanov, directors of the Central Electric Grids said. “This approach contributes significantly to the safety conditions of the personnel labor. And the main aim of renovation of the feeding center “Khutorskaya” is to increase reliability and quality of electricity supply to consumers.”
Also, the equipment of 35 kV is in the process of mounting currently. Gas-insulated circuit breakers, disconnecting devices, bus systems have already been mounted. A new modular building of the operational control center has been built, and a new control panel has been mounted. Completion of the facility reconstruction is scheduled for 2014.
