The results of the work of MOESK related with grid connection of consumers to electric grids in 2013 have significantly exceeded those of the previous years. The Moscow Region is developing dynamically, so the number of applications for grid connection is growing steadily. During the past year, MOESK accepted 84,767 applications from customers, which is almost twice higher than in 2012 (46,480 applications). MOESK has been developed and implemented the program "Five steps for three visits" in the interest of applicants. For customers’ convenience and for the purpose of saving their time, new customer service centers (CSC) were opened in Moscow and the Moscow Area, their schedule was optimized, and certain categories of applicants obtained the opportunity to submit an electronic application via the Portal.
In 2013, the time of consideration of applications in MOESK was reduced to 15 days followed by the issuance of technical specifications and the contract for the categories of applicants applying for connection of up to 670 kW. At the end of December 2013, the Company entered into more than 71 thousand contracts. This figure has more than doubled the results of 2012 (more than 35 thousand contracts).
Summing up the year, it should be noted that the timing of grid connection in 2013 was reduced from 281 days to 146 days; voltage supply is carried out during 125 days for Moscow applicants, which need the power not exceeding 150 kW.
Deputy General Director of JSC "MOESK" for grid connection and services development Pyatigor Alexander stressed that "for the convenience of the consumers, the first stage of the program "Three steps for two visits" is launched in 2014 as a pilot project, so it will be easier and faster to connect to the power grids."
